Enrollment & Admission

Registration process, eligibility, and admission conditions

By registering for any program at Siya Institute of Hotel Management (SIHM) you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions in their entirety.

  • Registration Confirmation: Enrollment is confirmed only upon submission of the completed registration form, all required documents, and successful payment of the applicable course fee or the first approved instalment.
  • Document Verification: SIHM reserves the right to verify all submitted documents including academic certificates, mark sheets, government-issued photo ID, and address proof. Forged documents result in immediate cancellation without refund.
  • Eligibility Criteria: Each program has specific eligibility requirements published in the official prospectus. SIHM's decision regarding eligibility is final and binding.
  • Seat Availability: Payment of fees does not guarantee a seat if the selected batch has reached full capacity. In such cases, the student will be offered the next available batch or a complete refund (excluding registration fee).
  • Minimum Age: Applicants must be at least 17 years of age. Those below 18 must provide a written consent letter from a parent or legal guardian.
  • Non-Transferability: Enrollment seats, course access, and all associated benefits are strictly non-transferable to any other individual without prior written approval from the Admissions Office.
  • Right to Refuse: SIHM reserves the right to refuse admission to any applicant without being obligated to state a reason, in accordance with institutional policy.

Fees & Payment Policy

Fee structure, instalment plans, late payment, and non-refundable charges

All program fees are detailed in the official prospectus. Fees for enrolled students are locked at the rate applicable at the time of registration.

  • Full Payment Requirement: Course fees must be paid in full before the program commences, unless a written instalment plan has been formally approved by the Finance Department.
  • Instalment Plans: Missing two or more consecutive instalment payments results in temporary suspension from classes and denial of LMS access until dues are cleared.
  • Late Payment Charges: A late fee of โ‚น500 per week is applicable on overdue amounts after a grace period of 3 working days from the scheduled due date.
  • Non-Refundable Items: Registration Fee (โ‚น1,000), Administrative Processing Fee, Study Materials, and Examination Fees (once conducted) are strictly non-refundable under all circumstances.
  • GST & Taxes: All fees are exclusive of GST. The applicable GST rate at the time of payment will be charged additionally and is non-negotiable.
  • Accepted Modes: UPI, NEFT/RTGS, demand draft, debit/credit card. Cash payments must be accompanied by an official Institute receipt.
  • Fee Receipts: Official digital receipts are issued within 2 working days of payment. Retain all receipts for the duration of your program.

Attendance & Participation

Minimum requirements, leave policy, and session guidelines

Consistent attendance is fundamental to the practical, hands-on learning model at SIHM.

  • Minimum Attendance: Students must maintain a minimum of 75% attendance across all scheduled sessions to be eligible for final examinations and the certificate of completion.
  • Recording of Attendance: Attendance is recorded digitally for online sessions and in physical registers for classroom sessions. Students are responsible for ensuring correct marking.
  • Planned Leave: Any planned absence exceeding 3 consecutive days must be communicated to the Program Coordinator in writing before the absence begins.
  • Medical Leave: Medical absences must be supported by a certificate from a registered medical practitioner, submitted within 5 working days of return.
  • Session Recordings: Accessing session recordings does not substitute for live attendance and will not count toward the attendance percentage.
  • Below Threshold: Students falling below 60% attendance without prior written approval will be ineligible for assessments.

Code of Conduct

Professional behaviour standards and disciplinary actions

SIHM nurtures a professional, inclusive, and respectful learning environment in line with global hospitality industry standards.

  • Professional Conduct: Respectful, courteous behaviour towards faculty, staff, and fellow students is mandatory at all times, including during industry visits or internships.
  • Uniform & Grooming: Hotel Management students must maintain prescribed grooming standards and wear the designated uniform during practical sessions and industry visits.
  • Zero Tolerance: Ragging, bullying, harassment, discrimination, possession of alcohol or controlled substances, and any form of violence will result in immediate expulsion without refund.
  • Academic Integrity: Cheating, plagiarism, impersonation, or use of unauthorised materials will result in cancellation of the relevant assessment and may lead to permanent termination.
  • Digital Conduct: Recording, sharing, or distributing sessions on any platform without explicit written authorisation is strictly prohibited and constitutes a violation of intellectual property law.
  • Social Media: Publishing false or defamatory statements about SIHM, its faculty, staff, or students on any public platform may attract disciplinary action and legal proceedings.
  • Disciplinary Process: Misconduct complaints are reviewed by the Disciplinary Committee within 10 working days. Decisions are final and binding. Expelled students forfeit all fees paid.

Intellectual Property Rights

Ownership and permitted use of all course content and materials

All academic content delivered by SIHM is the exclusive intellectual property of the Institute, protected under the Copyright Act, 1957 (India).

  • Protected Content: Lecture slides, video lessons, e-books, study modules, case studies, assessment papers, and proprietary training tools are exclusively owned by SIHM.
  • Student Licence: Students are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to access course materials solely for individual learning during the active enrollment period.
  • Strictly Prohibited: Copying, reproducing, screen-recording, distributing, uploading, reselling, or sharing any course material on any platform without authorisation will attract civil and criminal liability.
  • Student Work: Projects submitted by students may be showcased by SIHM for academic or promotional purposes with appropriate credit, unless the student opts out within 30 days of submission.
  • Brand Usage: Students may not use the SIHM logo, name, or branding in any personal or commercial context without prior written consent from Institute management.

Privacy & Data Protection

How we collect, use, and protect your personal information โ€” DPDPA 2023 compliant

SIHM is committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data.

  • Data Collected: Name, date of birth, contact details, academic history, identity documents, payment information, and LMS usage data โ€” collected solely to deliver our educational services.
  • Purpose of Use: Enrollment processing, fee management, academic assessment, certification issuance, placement support, and institutional reporting.
  • Third-Party Sharing: Data may be shared with placement partners, internship hotels, certification authorities, and regulatory bodies as legally required.
  • Data Retention: Student records are retained for a minimum of 5 years following program completion or withdrawal, after which they are securely deleted.
  • Your Rights: Students have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of their personal data by submitting a request to info@siyainstitute.com.

Limitation of Liability

Scope of the Institute's responsibility and service disclaimers

  • No Outcome Warranty: SIHM does not guarantee specific learning outcomes, skill levels, or career results. Outcomes vary based on personal effort, aptitude, and external market conditions.
  • Technical Disruptions: SIHM shall not be liable for temporary disruptions to online platforms resulting from internet outages or server failures. Affected sessions will be rescheduled where practicable.
  • Liability Cap: SIHM's maximum aggregate liability to any student shall not exceed the total course fee actually paid by that student for the specific program concerned.
  • No Consequential Damages: SIHM shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages including loss of income or career opportunities.
  • Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Unresolved disputes shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of competent courts in New Delhi, India.

Placement Assistance Disclaimer

Career support services and employment terms

SIHM's dedicated placement cell actively supports students in launching careers in the hospitality and digital marketing industries.

  • Support Includes: Resume workshops, mock interviews, group discussion training, personality development sessions, recruiter network access (3โ€“5 star hotels), campus recruitment drives, and job board listings.
  • No Guarantee: SIHM provides placement assistance โ€” not a placement guarantee. All hiring decisions are exclusively at the discretion of the recruiting organisation.
  • Eligibility: Students must have maintained minimum 75% attendance, completed all coursework, passed all assessments, and cleared all fee dues to access placement support.
  • Support Duration: Placement assistance is available for up to 12 months from the student's official program completion date, subject to recruiter availability.
  • Salary Benchmarks: Any salary ranges referenced during admissions counselling are indicative based on historical outcomes. They do not constitute a contractual commitment by SIHM.

Amendments & Modifications

How changes to these Terms are communicated and applied

  • Right to Amend: SIHM reserves the right to amend any part of these Terms at any time, including fee structures, program durations, curriculum content, faculty, and institutional policies.
  • Notice Period: Material changes affecting enrolled students will be communicated via registered email with a minimum of 14 calendar days' notice before the change takes effect.
  • Continued Enrollment: Continued participation in the program after the effective date of any amendment constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of the revised Terms.
  • Curriculum Updates: SIHM reserves the right to update course curriculum, tools, and faculty at any time to reflect current industry standards. Such changes are not grounds for a refund.
  • Version Control: In the event of a dispute, the version of these Terms in effect at the time of the student's enrollment shall govern.

Formal grievances submitted to support@siyaedu.in will be acknowledged within 7 working days. Unresolved matters may be escalated under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (India).
